Ssssh! Quiet down over there! Momma has a headache.
Went drinkin' last night with the boys. 2 ex-roommates and 2 ex-neighbors. My Dorm crew. My God, I almost forgot how much I miss staring blankly into space as they prattle on about Fantasy Football.
I did enjoy myself. I quite like being the lone female in a pack of boys. Makes me feel special. Ed.
So we went to this place called Messners on Addison and Southport. They were having a HELL of a deal. $3 vodka drinks. No kidding, I threw back no less than 7. And my brain hates me for it. But, all is not lost. I discovered the
BEST DAMN SANDWICH I HAVE EVER HAD!
It was a shaved turkey and brie sandwich with honey dijon mustard on thick slices of Texas toast. I about wet myself. It was that damn tasty! My boy Rob was also making such proclamations about whatever sandwich he ordered.
MESSNERS.
Go forth and wet yourself.
Shit, I actually have a lot to do today. I better get to it!
But before I go... I have to say goodbye to an old friend...
Oh, we never know where life will take us
We know it's just a ride on the wheel
And we never know when death will shake us
And we wonder how it will feel, so...
Good-bye, my friend
I know I'll never see you again
But the time together through all the years
Will take away the tears
It's ok now
Good-bye, my friend
I've seen alot of things that made me crazy
And I guess I held on to you
I could have run away and left, well maybe,
But it wasn't time and we both knew, so
Good-bye, my friend
I know I'll never see you again
But the love you gave me through all the years
Will take away my tears
I'm ok now
Good-bye, my friend
Life's so fragile and love's so pure
We can't hold on but we try
We watch how quickly it disappears
And we'll never know why
But I'm ok now
Good-bye, my friend
You can go now
Good-bye, my friend
She was very good to me. But now she refuses to let me into her melodic world. She just stares at me with her taunting little Apple eye. Well, you know what, bitch? Step off. Make room for my new friend...
Thanks to Dio, I will be the envy of bus #145 or #146. And everyone walking down Michigan Avenue. And everyone at Bally's. So suck it.
