Well howdy! It's already FRIDAY. Can you believe that shit? I thought this week was going to deeeee-rag, but nope! It flew right on by! I guess that's how the summer goes. There hasn't been one day since my return that I've sat around and done nothing. It's been go-go-go without much time for relaxation. And this weekend will be no different.
I am really eagerly anticipating this weekend. I'll get to soak in those friends I missed so much and experience Chicago at its finest. Perhaps there will be street festivals involved. Perhaps there will be a little beach time. For sure there is going to be an all you-can-drink-for $30 party tonight for my favorite ex-neighbor who is turning 28. Perhaps I will not pay the $30 because perhaps I drink too much.
What I am most excited about this weekend is...
Momo is coming home! She has been in Guam ice skating for over a year, but she is finally back in the states and ready to have a fantastic summer with me. In fact, I'll get to see her tonight, for the first time since May 5th of last year.
Just to clear my head, I quick run-down of this weekend's festivities:
Tonight, I am going with Dio to his sister's surprise graduation party for an hour or two. Then we have to meet up with Momo and Heather at ex-neighbor's birthday party taking place at Jack Sullivan's.
All day tomorrow, my roommates actually WANT to spend time at our apartment. I guess the days of significant other's apartment hibernation is OVA. It's time to party, bitches! We decided to do a tropical drink day, probably huddled on the porch due to the impending rain... but we'll see. I am compiling a party list on the iTunes as I type. Any suggestions?
Then ex-roomie is having a huge bash at his place on Saturday night. They even hired a DJ. Fan-say! Sunday, I hope to get some beach/relaxation time. I don't want the tan to fade and after this hectic-ass week, I don't want my head to explode.
Expect plenty of pictures come Monday.
Per usual, I have some photos. You know I mainly post these for my own pleasure. I feel like the entertainment factor has really waned on my blog and for that, I apologize. I am so wrapped up in my own shit that I often forget about you, my faithful readers. Anything I can do to make it up to you? Let me know below.
Lately, since I am now contemplating a job switch, I have been thinking of my talent in graphic design. Basically, I suck. Any talent I had is long gone since I have graduated. I deserve that because I always take the first, menial job I am offered. In my current job, I really need no graphic design skills, like, ever. There is no way anyone would hire me with my pitiful printed out portfolio I have now. I am pretty scared. I don't know where to go from here. But...
Yesterday, we went over to one of our car dealers. I did a stupid logo for them a long time ago. Then I forgot about it.
But it gave me great pleasure to see it blown up and hanging in their window.
Wednesday night, I went to Durkins to support ex-roomie...
who was a guest bartender.
Neon green flatters EVERYONE!
I was not planning on drinking much. Maybe one. And I pretty much stuck to that, until my presence was requested at the Flip Cup table. OH SNAP! Now I am not good at much, but I fancy myself to be a phenomenal talent at the Flip Cup. And that night was no different.
ONE SIP...
ONE FLIP!
Our team went all the way, undefeated... until I decided to get cocky. We got beat down by an all-girls team. Bitches. We still got $2 in Durkins cash A PIECE, so there's that.
Last night, Dio and I, who are spending an exorbitant amount of time together this week, decided to grab dinner and chill at his place. He really wanted me to play the drums. Now, I got rhythm. I am dangerous on the dancefloor. DANGEROUS! !
But man, I can not play the drums FOR SHIT!
Dio is still workin' it out. With practice, I think he is going to be exemplary.
Hey Dio, why did the condom fly across the room?
Because it was pissed off!
BA-DA
DUM
CCCCH!
We then watched the MTV movie awards, which were surprisingly entertaining. The live-action intros were pretty effen cool. But Lindsay Lohan, I was thinking about you this morning. WHAT ARE YOU DOING? YOU LOOK LIKE A CRACKWHORE! Dye your shit red again at least 15 pounds please! Thank you.
I just adore Dio's dog, Rusty.
Except when he humps my leg.
Well, I am off to finally record a radio commerical. It has been put on the back burner forever. I get to say something like "Ooooh, that's hot!" in my best phone sex voice. Wish me luck!
