I was hesitant to update. I really feel like I have nothing to say on this frigid Friday morning. God damn, it's so cold I feel like my legs were on fucking fire. I also really liked my last entry. I put sometime into that one and I didn't want to see it go bye bye.
My friend sent me this story yesterday right as I was going to lunch. UH! I felt like I was going to freaking barf. So do yourself a favor and check it out.
This week has been fun! Wednesday night, I already had my jammies on and I was settling in the watch Family Guy, and one of the roommates convinced me (not like there was much arm twisting involved) to go to Hi-Tops. I am ever so glad I went. Only with my group of friends could I watch an intense game a flip cup in the middle of an empty bar and then swing dance with not one, but two inebriated gentleman. I was even persuaded to go here last night. It was much more chill. I saw this amazing Pearl Jam cover band. Holy Shit! When they played Release, I about cried! The guy sounded more like Eddie Vedder than Eddie Vedder sounds like Eddie Vedder! I was just trying to do some online detective work to find out who they were (they didn't have banner up) but much to my dismay, there is no information posted on the website about them. Argh!
Who else is excited for the Super Bowl??? Ok, NO ONE! No one I know is too jazzed about the actual game. The Patriots and the Panthers, I think? The teams we were pulling for (Colts, Green Bay) got knocked out, so now all bets are off and we are just going to use it as an excuse to get plowed on a Sunday. Like we need an excuse.
My neighbors are having a huge party. I am making 7 layer dip. That, or I am buying 7 layer dip and pretending I made it. I love receiving praise for other people's accomplishments. I am a glory whore.
Does it make me a nerd that I am sitting here listening to "The Nerds Rap" as I type this? For all ignoramouses, it is the song the nerds play at the end of "Revenge of the Nerds" to like, um, win the carnival. Er, I am not sure what they were actually trying to accomplish. The red head from Thirtysomething comes out and plays the electric violin. Er er er er er er-er-er-er-er! Clap your hands everybody. Everybody clap your hands! It was cool. Super cool. It basically summed up the 80s. A flashy stage show without much substance.
Ok, the question I posed earlier, you know, about me being a nerd? I just answered it for myself. But thanks for playing.
