Oh happy day!
I got my iPod. It is not sitting here right next to me, sadly. Some UPS man has it in his truck, hopefully. My dad gave my a Circuit City gift certificate so I could pick out the one I wanted. How thoughtful. I went for the 10GB, since 3,000 songs is more than sufficient to satisfy my music lust.
I went to go see "Bad Santa" on Friday. It was indeed bad. Damn you, Showplace 16! Why was your last showing of "Stuck On You" at 4:15???? During the commerical portion of the movie( which is SUCH BULLSHIT. I paid $8 for this god-awful piece of shit movie and now you are going to force me to watch Pepsi and video game commericals?!?!?) Well a screen popped up with this missing gnome website. Check it out. It is fucking funny. Random. Random funniness is my favorite kind.
I skied for the first time ever on Saturday! My friend from babyhood took me to the ski lodge in Michigan and I rocked that place hardcore. I was zipping down huge hills within minutes after my first lesson. Who knew I was so fearless and coordinated? I certainly didn't!
Well, everything is much better in roommate land. He is going to pay my rent this month! Hooray! Even though I shouldn't have, I went to Abercrombie at lunch, already spending the extra money I'll have left over and then some. My Discover bill is just sitting on my dresser... taunting me. I am too fucking scared to open it. Usually, I just pay online a resonable amount, like $700. I squint my eyes at the total amount owed. I don't even want to know. I tried to transfer my balance to a 0% APR card, but the bastards had to nerve to look at my credit report and reject me! Rejection blows.
My roommates let it slip that they bought me a DVD player for my Birthday/Christmas... one less thing to have on my wishlist. Yay! Now I don't have to be in the living room to watch porn and The Real World Hookups DVD I just bought from Amazon.
Have you ever checked out the used book selection on Amazon? I just got 2 Nick Hornby books for $3 a piece. (You know, the guy that wrote About a Boy and High Fidelity? Get with it, people!) Once, I got a Maya Angelou book of poetry for 25 cents!
Of course, you are paying shipping and handling, which bites. I put 7 items in my cart for a grand total of $23.75. What a coup! Then I proceeded to checkout where my total doubled. Does it really cost $4.60 to send a 25 cent book through the mail?!?!
Gougers!
