I know there is 20 feet of snow on the ground, but I am already anticipating the imepending thaw that feels so far away. I have many plans and hopes for this summer. They include, but are not limited to:
- Going to see a Dave Matthews show
- Seeing a Justin Timberlake concert (shh, let's keep that one to ourselves!)
- Camping and fishng in Wisconsin
- Going to Lincoln Park Zoo
- Participating in many "Happy Hours"
- Home Cubs games, and bygod, I should get tickets for at least one!
- Finding someone that hosts roof top home game parties and becoming their new best friend
- The Beer Garden that is going to be right in front of my building should be good for meeting some party time people...
- Going to Six Flags and not pussing out on riding SON OF BEAST, wait that King's Island... Well, then riding the Six Flags equilvalent to SON OF BEAST
- Waking up at 10am on a Saturday and jogging to the beach
- Strolling down the Magnificent Mile
- Going to the top of the Sears Tower
- Riding the ferry down the Chicago River
- Rollerblading next to Lake Shore Drive
- Road tripping to Memphis in August
- Throwing a few keggers at the new apartment with the new roommates, who kick ass by the way, thank you very much... and inviting my Indianapolis/Purdue/Cub fan friends
- Trying out all the little neighborhood bars and restaurants and finding a favorite
- Dancing my ass off (ouch!)
- Just walking around, soaking up Wrigleyville and the sun, getting exercise, enjoying life
- Learning to play an instrument, preferably the violin or guitar
- Finding an animal shelter in the area and volunteering
- Convincing Corey to come out and visit me
- Reading Boy's Life on the back porch and waving to people getting on and off the El
- Going to the art museum
- Going to The Museum of Science and Industry (I was fascinated by that place as a kid, but I haven't been back since)
It's alot to pack into one summer, but by god, I am going to do it! I should print this bitch off and check off the items as I go.
