I dunno, you seem okay to me. I don't drink very often but I'd come get drunk with you if I knew my way around Chicago better.

Yup...I've gotten that "rush" before...and I thought I was the only one!

Your friend said exactly what I was going to say... We booze because it's fun, not because we have to in order to have fun!

the rush you described is the one I had late last week. we're gonna be ok, just have to remind yourself every once in a while. And never fear, I'm sure you will have a promising career as a barfly.... You damn lush.

The Leon - 2004-03-23 14:36:37
Well, let Leon say something from a different point of view. The Non-drinker, I can honestly say that I have never drank before, not one drop of alcoholic beverage has ever touched these luscious lips. At first it was due to choice, but when the curiousity and late teen wildness hit I was not able to drink for medical purposes. I can honestly say that I don't feel like I missed anything. I have no desire for alcohol and don't need it to enjoy myself. I have very close friends that drink all of the time, and I like to consider myself the life of thier parties, when I am invited. We get along fine, I don't break thier balls, and they leave my balls intact also. I also get tons of enjoyment out of the assumption from other people that I am a wild partier, therefore I paste pictures of myself with Courvosier, and Colt 45. I bet you thought I could really throw down some Killians and all of that didn't you. I am a lightweight. Ha Ha !!!! But it is a choice, if you want to drink then drink, if you don't want to don't. As long as you aren't driving, or suffering with a liver the size of a beachball then do whatever as long as you aren't smoking. UGGGGGGHHH. People who drink shouldn't be criticized, just like people that don't drink shouldn't be criticized either. It's your life, so live it. By the way, thanks for the comment. Loser.

It must be this time of year that gets everyone down, I have been questioning my lifestyle for a long time now too. I am 24 and like you, I just don't like the way that I look through other people's eyes. I don't think that your ex was right in saying the things that he says but if you were feeling some of them anyways then maybe it's time for a change. Drinking is fun and it's a great way to socialize, but maybe there is more to it than that. I don't know. I just want you to know that I am in the same boat as you are.

Yeah, we talked on Friday. By time I made it to the Hangge Uppe, you had already left. Dang it! One day our forces will meet up, and the Hangge Uppe won't know what to do! Oh yeah -- I too have been kicked out of the Hangge Uppe...

All I can say is keep on drinking, partying and having fun. You only live once and you should live your life to the fullest. Flirt, drink, enjoy, party and just have fun. life is so short. settling down and getting married is not the be all and end all in life. I wish I was in your shoes.I guess its always greener on the other side? Take care, and enjoy!!! xoxox Kathy

i think its funny when people need to look at you for having fun, and then make it a negative thing. saying that they can't, i mean won't, do whatever it is for fear that they might actually have f-u-n. oh god forbid! it sounds like to me, that this ex of yours is an ex for a reason. you love life. you eat it up and drink from the tallest glass because you want all that it has to offer! you don't want to let life pass you by and that is so fucking awesome! we need more people with that mentality in this world! he seems to be afraid to even get near the any fun for fear he might enjoy the way it feels/smells/tastes/looks. he is the one who needs to loosen up and grow up! and what is he trying to prove? you seem to be very in control of your life. he needs to take a load off and just relax. and that rush you were talking about... that is one of the best feelings in the world! i never want to not feel that... and i can tell you feel the same! have a wonderful day/night/week/weekend!

Black and Tan party -- awww yeah! I'll be all tan-tan-tan, but I may have to bring an 18-pack of Miller High Life instead. The body doesn't know what to do when I get good beer in me. I sent the invite on the Melinda, Joy, and a few others I think you'd enjoy!
